Three Things Quickly

talkingsoupI've fallen in love with a strange indie band known as MGMT. Y'all should check them out. Retro and awesome, and I feel like I've heard them somewhere before.
Also...
Just found out that apparently the Master will not be returning in the next Doctor Who serial, and that the scene at the end is a hint for future production teams who want to bring him back.
And that possibly the Rani (look her up on Wiki) might show up, but the idea that both of the Doctor's nemeses (sort of) managed to hide out from everything using the chameleon arch (since he can sense other Time Lords, and there are none...other than the Master) is pretty ludicrous. And the effect that the Master's appearance had on the Doctor would be that much diminished, since it's like "XOMG my best enemy is the last freaking Time Lord other than me!...oh, no, wait." I'm kind of glad that they can't really use the "Last Time Lord PLUS ONE!" gimmick.
I just wish I had access to the older series. I want to know what other Time Lords/Ladies were like (aside from the Council, which sounds so typically bureaucratic, and I already got that "No interfering in the natural order lol" with the Ellimists in the Animorphs series).
If this is how it ends for this whole Sasuke-Itachi thing I am going to be so ridiculously pissed, to the point that I might just not be able to read it anymore. The manga and the anime are both kind of starting to drag their feet, and though everything that's happened has been awesome it's been kind of...ridiculous. Madara is conveniently alive, is conveniently Tobi, and conveniently has the most badass Mangekyou EVAR or whatever. So you know that, since conveniently he is Tobi, who also conveniently is Obito, never mind that Obito was crushed by a rock, eventually Tobi/Obito/Madara/Who The Fuck Ever is going to fight Kakashi. If he's as badass as everyone says, Kakashi will die, which will make Naruto go somewhat crazy, there will be drama, and then he and probably Sasuke will kick Akatsuki and Madara's collective asses.
Never mind that suddenly Naruto is "the one from the prophecy" or whatever. I mean, come on guys.
So, if after all this goddamn buildup, and after Sasuke was so confident, if he's just gonna get totally pwned by Itachi (especially after Itachi's freakout)--no. Just, no.
But I do still like it. I mean, it's a good story, I still like the characters. But it's like Lord of the Rings--just end already!

As for Naruto, I agree with the anime dragging its feet, but I feel like the Itachi/Sasuke stand-off is going to end well. As you pointed out, Itachi had a freakout. Whenever a villain has a freakout in Naruto, especially after revealing their whole plan, they are doomed to die. All we need now is a ridiculously awesome plan from Sasuke and a flashback for Itachi before he gets killed. Of course, now that we have Madara, Sasuke's revenge won't end with Itachi, and since Madara is one of the guys behind Akatsuki, Sasuke can't completely get his revenge until Akatsuki is taken down, which of course won't happen until the end of the series where Naruto will defeat Akatsuki and the Kyuubi, then become Hokage, and then Kishimoto will probably begin "Naruto: The Next Generation" or something.
Anyway, I was upset when it turned out that Sasuke didn't REALLY lose an eye. I thought that would have been AWESOME. Although, then people would say he was just ripping off Kakashi...

Oh, well we haven't seen the first two, but we saw the Voyage of the Damned which was brilliant. I think having alien!Kylie Minogue!companion would have been awesome; too bad she had to die. I also loved Ten's out-of-nowhere line:
"I'm the Doctor. I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey. I'm 903 years old, and I'm going to save you all."
It's like, oh fuck yeah, especially since he dodged around all that information for the entire last three serials. Just fucking brilliant.
Waaaaait, what chapter are you on? The chapter I just read finished with Itachi reaching for Sasuke's eye, saying sorry, and then someone screaming.
I mean, I am kind of expecting Sasuke to totally pwn Itachi in the next chapter. Maybe the one screaming was Itachi. It would just piss me off if Itachi totally pwned him instead, because it's like "...after all that, are you kidding me?"
I just really want the awesomeness to come back. Kishimoto really does need to end the whole thing, and maybe put a twist on it that we don't expect, because everything's gotten so predictable. It's like the story has jumped the shark.
