VOTE OR DIE
Something of minor importance happened today, but I can't really remember just what it was.
Well, we got our first fiction assignment for creative writing. We had to write a short story circulating around an extended metaphor. I used the flower symbol. What's the symbol of? Well, that I'm not too sure of, but oh well.
I need 20 hrs of community service for civics. Sucks. I think I'll either help out at the humane center or I'll volunteer with the local Kerry campaign.
I was pleased because there was mention of Wicca in my world religions class today. We watched this video about small-society religions, and Wicca--for some reason--was one of them.
One thing threw me; they mentioned the Mayans, and how the conquistadores took over their land--but I was under the impression that that happened to the Inca and Aztec, and that the Mayans just kinda went "poof." Oh, well.
I'm thinking of skipping the senior picnic two weeks from now and just taking a four day weekend. Unfortunately Liz doesn't want to do it with me, and I haven't talked to Varsha or the rest of the croo.
*sigh*. That's about it. We couldn't find an envelope for my Alch. disk, so I'm definitely sending it tomorrow. Woot!
