It's Going to Kill Me

We have achieved J.

And oh my God. This scene is intense. Like I was writing it last night and I was getting really worked up and upset and my stomach actually started hurting. Of course that's just my feeling for it, I'm not sure how it reads. I can see more of what's happening than my readers can.

But in any case, wow. I haven't written many scenes--in anything--that have had this kind of effect on me. And it's only half over.

I suppose I should explain. J is a Demoness, someone from E's past (you might notice something similar about their names). She's kind of insane. Okay, she's really insane. Anyway, she wants to kill E as revenge against something she thinks he did in the past.

The whole thing looks so cool in my head, but you can only do so much on paper. They're both really fast, really strong fighters, and they're in this field fighting in the rain, J with a short spear and E with his daggers (sucks for E, poor close-range guy). It's just like...whoa. I hope it looks half as good on paper, though I haven't read it over yet.

And dude, last night I wrote all night. As in from about 11ish to about 5. I don't usually do that. Usually I fuck around for a few hours or watch anime, but last night I was really excited about getting to the fight scene. There was a good deal of connective tissue to put in before it.

*phew*

And I'm gonna be writing from here until the end of the day. Damn straight.
