Meh...

You're probably sick of hearing all this, but oh well. Had a panic attack yesterday, and it carried on into today. I'm noticing a correspondance of panic attacks around the weekends. That plus the *koff* bloody monster *koff* reared its ugly head, so anxiety+horomones=...well, you get the picture. In any case, I'm better now. No shrink today. I go in for a sorta checkup at the Health Center on Friday to see how the meds have been working--I think I'm going to ask for a daily prescrip instead of this as-needed stuff. It occurs to me that I'm actually pretty tense on and off throughout the day, though it only becomes a full-blown panic attack rarely. I think a daily prescrip will help me settle my mind. But at the end of the day, this is a cycle I have to break out of on my own, and just ignoring the problem isn't gonna fly anymore. I'm getting sick of this.

Well! In other news--lots of anime/manga related stuff, so you can skip this section if you want. Didn't go to ASIC on Ths. because they were showing Genshiken first, which I don't like much (I guess they showed Samurai 7 after the break, which sounds interesting, but Julie and I were caught up in Slayers--we're onto Slayers TRY, btw). Anyway, over the course of that week and the weekend I splurged and bought disks 2-4 of the FMA series--WOOT! I've seen all these episodes before, but really--it's physically impossible to see the episode "Fullmetal vs. Flame" too many times. So. Fricking. Cute.

Speaking of FMA--great ep Saturday, and one tonight too (I think)--I saw spoilers about the movie and about the end of the series on the ASIC newsletter! Nothing too bad, but it all sounds very interesting. I wonder if I should tell Julie? She's going to see the newsletter at any rate...

Oh, also read Kenshin 24, which up to a point is like..."No...fucking...way. Not...again. Dude...dude..." with more ellipses than I care to insert, but then maybe halfway through there's a big revelation and it's, to use chatspeak, "liek woah!" And--*squee!*--Death Note v.4 is out!! GAH! Misa has shown up and thrown a wrench into everything! And...Light's plan has begun. Curses. CURSES, I SAY! Naruto v.9 is out too, which is pretty awesome too, though it's still on this one-on-one fight thing. (And wait, now there's a demon in Gaara, too? Naruto has competition!!)

I know--more anime stuff--but I can't help it! We're still watching Trigun, and we're a few episodes from the end (IT hasn't happened yet), Slayers as I mentioned (Xellos! And Zel! And their names are confusing!) and Kodocha, which is explosively *squee!* Annnnd (last bit on anime, I swear) my mom's sending me Cowboy Bebop sometime this week, and JULIE SHALL WATCH IT!!!! Woot. Never seen Cowboy Bebop...bah! That must CHANGE! And change it will...

[/anime stuff]

Anyway! Haven't gotten much done in the writing realm--between homework, anime and general anxiety there hasn't been much time. But this week is looking like it's gonna be a light one, so hopefully there'll be time. I'm sorting through all these ideas in my head, mostly concerning Morgan and Tae, and E and Kail. Ooh, it's gonna get rocky for everyone from here on out!

Writer's workshop tonight, woot.

P.S.

Oh! I forgot about the opera! Yeah, we went to see "The Merry Widow" this Saturday in place of our movie night (which, come to think of it, hasn't actually happened in a few weeks...). It was awesome! The acting and singing was brilliant and it was really very funny. I've never been to an opera before.

BTW, it's pretty much about this made-up country, and this woman (a widow) who likes this guy (a lazy count-type-person), but it's all like "I hate you, I declare war on you." But this woman got hella money from ex-hubby, and now if she marries someone not from X-country (Petroverdo? Pedroverde? Something), all the money will leave the country and the country will be bankrupt, so there's a plot to get her to marry someone who's not a foreigner. "For the fatherland" they keep saying. Very funny.
