talkingsoupOh! I forgot about the opera! Yeah, we went to see "The Merry Widow" this Saturday in place of our movie night (which, come to think of it, hasn't actually happened in a few weeks...). It was awesome! The acting and singing was brilliant and it was really very funny. I've never been to an opera before.
BTW, it's pretty much about this made-up country, and this woman (a widow) who likes this guy (a lazy count-type-person), but it's all like "I hate you, I declare war on you." But this woman got hella money from ex-hubby, and now if she marries someone not from X-country (Petroverdo? Pedroverde? Something), all the money will leave the country and the country will be bankrupt, so there's a plot to get her to marry someone who's not a foreigner. "For the fatherland" they keep saying. Very funny.
