Happy Thanksgiving all.
So yeah, yesterday we did the usual friend thing and got together with the Corsbies. The works--turkey, Spanish rice, sweet potatoes, onions in white sauce (very good) and the usual assortment of pies. Lot's of "the usual." Except--hooray!--alcohol! That tastes good! And my parents LET me!! Woot!
Saw Jara (cat) again too, she's gotten so big! Sarah brought her, Osk and this dog she's dog-sitting up from Santa Barbara apparently. Cuties!
Well. Not much else happened. Typically boring holiday.
Now onto the X-mas season. Hum-dee-dum. I should be shopping today, but I don't know what to get anyone but Ben and Mom. Not quite sure what to get Ipswich either.
I have to take 24 pictures of stuff by Monday. And do a reading log for 1984. And think of an idea for a movie for creative writing. And get fucking community service--I think I'm going to end up calling out bingo numbers at the senior center with Ips. Hey, anything to get these stupid 20 hours.
Broken through a lull in Penta. Woot! Think I'll do a bit of writing today. And hope to the gods that I get some decent writing books for Christmas because I've recently realized that I'm trapped in this singular style of writing that relies heavily on dialogue. And there's some things to consider about the story in general. For instance, if Scarrow's going to end up being the reincarnation of this cool guy (whatever), shouldn't I make his powers analogous to the powers of said cool guy? And what, exactly, is Kazriel's relationship with Scarrow? And how, oh how, am I going to avoid pulling an Alch. and forgetting about all my other characters??
