Las Idiomas
Jun. 23rd, 2004 01:37 pmI got new glasses, so now I can see a lot better. And for some strange reason, I feel taller, which is what happens when I get new glasses. I must be weird.
On the subject of eyes, I realize I never did update again as to my loving brother's condition. Well, he's been able to leave the house since last weekend, so he's been going crazy with his pent up energy. He also got the retainer I used to have, the one that goes over your teeth making it nearly impossible to chew or speak, and all I have to say is....HA! HA!
In world news, apparently Bush knew something about the torture going on at the Iraqi prisons before the pictures were released, as did Rumsfeld. There were some memos ciculating, saying that Bush claimed the right to waive Geneva. This was why I was in such a Dsgrntld Citizen mood yesterday, and am thinking of going back to that name today.
And in news of another world, Alch. 1 is running smoothly again, with much confusion between "the lovers", because they can't figure it out, the fools. Not much else in that world, except that I've been thinking a lot more about the second and third installments of the trilogy, considering I'm almost done with this first one. Whereas this one is all about Rowan coming into her powers and realizing that she's part of this Prophecy and all that, the second book will deal with the escalation of the war and the search for allies--namely the Elves, who have long since receded from the world into their "Zion", Que'thelas, due to something that happened about an eon (5000 years) ago. They're also trying to find the Elves because they may know where a mystical artifact called the Sourcestone is. That's the second book. The third book will involve the search for the Sourcestone and more war stuff, and unfortunately that's all I've got for that book. *shrug*
Meanwhile, considering I've basically finished my maps (I won't be doing the one of Tamara and Que'thelas until I know more about those lands--my muse has been keeping that information classified), I figures I need a new project relating to this trilogy--so I got me one. I'm going to do a list of words in different languages. The biggest one, of course, will be in a language called the Lastu di Baia, which is the language used to call on magic. Other languages include Demonic, Oceanic, and Elvish, and any other languages I come up with.
If I knew how to upload and I trusted our new scanner I'd post my maps (terrible as they are), but I won't. Once I'm better acquainted with the technology, then I will.
Meantime, does anyone know how to get rid of an AIM virus?
