When the Crocodile Hunter is killed by a cranky stingray there is no justice in this world.
It's not like I particularly liked the guy or watched the show, but he was always so fearless and fun and he had a family and...aw, man.
It's been awhile, hasn't it? Things have been busy. Between schoolwork and classes and writing and various and sundry non-academic things, I haven't had much time to update. Finally got chapter five of the fic written, and I suppose it's decent. It's got monkeys X3
It's been rainy and gloomy here. And rather cold, too. Very Ithaca-esque. Good weather for a three-day weekend, I suppose, when you can just stay in and futz around. And fortunately I don't actually have that much due tomorrow, either.
I got into all my six classes. Registered for Poetry I and it went through, so I'm back with my crazy Personal Essay teacher from last year--the one who smoked pot and did LSD? He's cool, if...totally out there.
ASIC! Very first ASIC meeting of the year! We watched the first two episodes of Ergo Proxy which seems like a mix of Ghost in the Shell: SAC and Paranoia Agent, which is fine in my book--plus it's got really awesome animation. Also watched the first two episodes of FMA. And after the break we watched Advent Children, which I've been meaning to see forever. It was confusing as hell since I haven't played the game, but Cloud was delightfully emo and Tifa was delightfully badass and Reno and Rude were just delightful, period. And Kadaj might have been a cry baby, but he was pretty cool too. The meeting all around was awesome, but really, you can't go wrong with that cooky crowd.
In terms of other anime, well, we (me and Julie) are watching Honey and Clover cause really and Air, sorta. I've gotten her to read the first three Descendants of Darkness, too, and she agrees with me in terms of Muraki being Made of Evil.
Also watched The Mummy the other night with Julie and Sophia. We hijacked a room in Williams and had nice surround sound and a big ol screen, and I haven't seen the Mummy in so long, and it was quite fun.
"Look, I may not be an explorer or an adventurer, or, or a treasure-seeker or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell--but I am proud...of what I am."
"And...what is that?"
"I...........am a librarian."
You just can't go wrong with that.
I've been researching places in Scotland where Fox can live. All I know is he lives in this big 'ol estate-converted-to-museum/house, surrounded by all these grassy hills, near a town, and a small loch. I have a few places written down.
And I still don't have a name for my black-winged Japanese angel dude, though now I'm leaning toward more American names. Julian? Cole? I dunno.
And now that I've finished the fic, I can work on other things. I want to get back to Mot, woot. I had a Boone moment the other day, where I just wanted to write him.
