talkingsoupI've resolved to be more honest, with myself and with other people. And to think before I do stupid shit.
Anyway. Liz is still trapped in MN because she flies standby and didn't get on her first flight, or the alternate one. So I think she has to stay there until Monday. Which sucks, but oh well. Maybe the more time she has to herself the more she'll be able to think about things.
So, those of you who know me know I have this like obsession with neat LJ icons. So I decided to try my hand at making a few. Now, the God icon with the nebula that looks like a hand giving the finger, that's me. My Talking Soup one and the mouse deer one, those are both by me as well. But they're relatively boring. I wanted to try my hand at making a GIF. And you know, Photoshop is supposed to be this monster, but it's actually pretty helpful at figuring out how to do stuff. It still took me several hours to figure everything out, mostly because I discovered the Filter feature and had a hell of a time playing around, making my pics do weird things. Nya-ha-ha. I'm easily amused. But really! You can add little lens flares and film grain and brush strokes and warp it and...okay, I'll stop.
So yeah, anyone know where I can get Axel screenshots?
Oh, and--by now, most people have seen the diet pepsi and mentos videos. I decided to try a hand at it meself. And yes it does cause a fountain, though I think I need to work on it because I couldn't get it to shoot up that high. I think the best thing is to use a 1 or 2L bottle and about half a roll of mentos, or something. I think I'll try it again when I have more money.
Writing? Not much. All the drama took the wind out of me, and discovering my own mistakes in it all made the muse pack up for Maui again. I'll have her back by tonight, though. I want to get back to the groove. I've decided to cut out the E and Kail reconciliation scene, because it's unnecessary and I've had a lot of similar scenes between them. I'll just skip on to Kail meeting Ciraszi and then bumping into J. And I need a Tag and Hex scene--I'm working on one in my head. That'll probably come right after Kail. Then after that is the Apprenticeship ceremony for Morgan. After that there's really only two major scenes to work in, plus a bunch of connective tissue. Then it's off once again into the great blue yonder. Woot!
