I hit Borders today for no reason really other than to check if Kenshin 27 was there, cause I know I've seen it and I want to read it. It wasn't there, so I tooled around, and picked up this random manga that looked interesting. Il Gatto Sul G, that's what it's called (the language is Italian. Or Latin. One of those). I read the whole thing and thought it was pretty cool, pretty cute, worth taking home, that sorta thing. Then I looked more closely at the cover, and what should it say in pink on the bottom?

"Yaoi manga."

Yep.

I then spent the next five or eight minutes debating whether to actually buy it and said, what the hell. I was a bit hysterical in the car, though, laughing for no reason. It's really funny, isn't it? I don't consider myself particularly a fan of shounen-ai or yaoi, though it's decent I suppose. But, like, here I was going home with a blantantly yaoi manga. Something about that just set me giggling. This must be what people feel when they sneak out of a convenience store with Playboy under their shirt for the first time. Or something.

So. Yeah. I have my very first yaoi manga. Completely by accident. I seriously didn't realize it was actually labeled as yaoi until I read the whole fricking thing. But I like it, I like the story so far. Cute boys. Split personalities. Violins. Woot.

*koff*

I feel like I need a drink.

In other news, last I heard Liz was doing okay, though her stomach still hurts and she still can't really drink anything. I haven't actually talked to her in a few hours. The strangest thing is that Steve has the exact same thing as her, but it can't be food poisoning because it was really late onset.

I was reading Penta earlier, which always sets me in a good mood, despite how mediocre the writing is. I just love those guys. It's really amazing how many people can live in your head. The whole cast of Pentagram, Motley Crew, and everyone from the North story and the Fox story. Plus a bunch of characters who are either still homeless, like Gecko, or are from ideas that never went anywhere, like Ghost and Hack. Even some from ideas that fell through, like Kiala, Alchemist and the original Taenailo. They keep floating around in my head. I should charge rent or something. Freeloaders. Fell pops up now and then in the form of E, Kail, and Kaz. Rowan points out her similarities with Morgan. And Piffwing's always there. Piffwing, in fact, is going to be resurrected--not as a pink little critter this time, but as Morgan's familiar. Yes, that Morgan, and that Piffwing. A match made in heaven.

Still haven't heard from Julie, though I've been calling her all but incessently. I'd leave a message, if I knew how to work her completely wonky voicemail. It asks for a ten-digit mobile code, which I assume to just be the phone number, but when I type it in it gets cranky at me (literally! The automated voice gets all snooty and is like, "There's no such number." Aren't automated voices supposed to be all polite and stuff? Okay...rambling...sorry...). Gah. I can't send her the movie until I have her address...

I feel a bit crazy right now.
