The birthday...day...went well. Got a lot written. Course it meant I sorta...erm, forgot about my homework. Got it done, though.
Today went without incident. Two periods. Speaking of periods, I found out a little too late that I was, shall we say, lacking in certain necessities, so I had to run down to Wegmans after a shower. I got everything I needed (and bought the eighth Naruto and the paperback version of the Pythons autobiography) but we had plans to see a movie that day (Narnia) so I ended up carrying my bags around for a good while. Since I was already in town I hopped on the 30 bus to the mall (where the theater is) and got off at the wrong stop, so the others in the taxi had to pick me up (I ended up kind of across the street from the mall). Anyway, we got into the movie without much incident (me and all my bags--the chocolate too!) and I have to admit, I noticed a lot more the second time around, particularly how utterly ridiculous Peter is with that sword. He holds it wrong! He fights wrong! His stance is sad! And what is up with him raising it to Aslan like that? It was just silly! But all that aside, I still think it's a good movie. Molly thought so too I guess (she hadn't seen it).
Then we came back and I finally got to put away my stuff, and the others hijacked my room to watch Stargate SG-1 and then Battlestar Galactica. Lol, I'm the only one with cable. I only really understand the former of those shows (it was a good episode...time warps and lots of twins) but for all two episodes I've seen of Battlestar I have to agree that...well, no one on that show is easy to sympathize with. But then, I dunno. Sci-fi and all. *shrug*
In between the shows (they were an hour or so apart) me and Julie showed Kate and Molly the reason why my screensaver says "Alas, a cornucopia of love!" (*koff* Harry Potter Puppet Pals *koff*) and Molly showed us Thumb Wars and Kate showed us Salad Fingers, only the former of which I'm familiar with.
The outtakes on Lost are really funny, by the way. And so is the whole "let's launch a big stuffed polar bear through the high grass." Hi-larious.
Oh, and I've made it to a new notebook. Yellowy-green-ish goodness.
And did I mention the presents the others got for me? Woot! I got FB playing cards and a book on Samurai from Julie, Finding Neverland from Kate and a nice necklace from Molly.
And supposedly I should be getting a package tomorrow. Today. Whatever.
