Coffee is Awesome

talkingsoupIt's Fall Break now, so we get two days off. There is NO ONE on campus, and in response to this just about every food place has closed down. The campus center dining hall and the food court are all that's open--in other words, there is very little choice in the way of coffee. Even La Vincita shut down :(
My Dad is flying out tomorrow and he's gonna come see me on Saturday and Sunday. I need to think of things to do. There's hiking...and then there's hiking...and then there's walking. *sigh* Anyway, tomorrow me, Molly and Julie are going hiking *I think* around Buttermilk Falls. Woot. Tomorrow's supposed to be the only dry day.
It's getting kind of monotonous. It's been raining/misting for like an entire week now. I haven't seen the sun in at least eight days. No joke.
So. Yeah. New project. Mot kind of died, but this is it's reincarnation. This one is a sci fi. Set in space. Yeah. Not that I know a damn thing about sci fi. I know a good deal about science and what's possible/what's not possible. The thing is, I don't know if this story is a cliche. It probably is. It's a vicious circle, I swear. Everything I do ends up cliche. Penta's the only thing that's stuck through with me--it's the least cliche thing I've written, but it's still rather cliche--but after, what, five months now? I still can't figure out what to do with the sequel. It sucks. And I'm so sick of the muse getting all excited over a project only to abandon me a few weeks in. One whiff of cliche or plot holes and she's dead.
Today is going to be a boring day. Pretty much I'm going to go to the fitness center, read a hell of a lot, maybe do homework, eat dinner, brainstorm this new idea, possibly pick at Penta 2, buy cold weather shit online, watch my shows and sleep. Not much that requires activity. Ah well.
