God, inorite? My Dad keeps talking about how it was sort of like this when he graduated. I'm just glad I have a sort of fulfilling job, even if it doesn't pay well. Working at Michael's was absolutely soul-destroying.
I think RP has certainly taught me to write better, but it doesn't allow for the sort of "sit down for six hours and write" thing I could get away with back in HS. It's just that it's time consuming, so I've had to learn to budget my time better, so I can write, RP and be in the AIM chat with everyone. Unfortunately I get so caught up in RP that I sometimes don't have any time for writing, lol. Then again I think that happens to all writers--there's always something interesting to distract from the actual writing. And lol don't even get me started on editing.
Yeah, apparently it's been really bad back home, to the point that I almost feel guilty for not being there. I was always sort of the mediator back home. I just feel like the whole situation is partially my fault; I could have done a better job of encouraging Ben to make good choices and such. *sigh*
