Did you try watching it from the beginning? I had a hard time following what the hell was happening when I jumped into it from the middle. I still don't really understand what all went on in that show (kind of like Eva), but I liked it because of Vash's character and because of the crazy-ass fights.
Also, Legato Bluesummer's English voice is TEH SEX.
