Well, when the perfect storm happened, they did see that coming. It was enormously unexpected, but they were able to predict the collision a day or so in advance. Didn't exactly help the people at sea, but still.
Finished the first season, on into the second. Can't decide which doctor I like better, though David Tennant is pretty much the shit (and quite cute).
