Ask Yourself, Ask Your Mom, Ask DNA
Jan. 6th, 2007 09:09 pmIt's getting to the point where I'm staying up till 6 in the morning to write and waking up at around 3. Lol, this will actually be good for when I have to take a red-eye back to IC.
I beat Okami. Didn't get a 100% since I rarely do on any of these sorts of games, but it was still pretty sweet. The ending was a really "awwww" ending. This is probably one of my favorite games ever.
Now I've got Shadow of the Colossus to deal with as well as FF7 (which I need to actually find first...)
Bought the first disk of Noein because it was relatively cheap and I was sick of standing around FYE just staring at anime DVDs. I can say in good conscience that the English dub is pretty decent. Karasu is voiced by the guy who voiced Tsume in Wolf's Rain, and whoever does Atori's voice does him well. Yuu is voiced by the guy who does Sasuke (I wonder if he's getting tired of voicing emo kids?)
Also, out of curiosity, saw the first episode of Gunslinger Girl (also in English) last night. It and Basilisk, which I don't know enough about to have wanted to watch it, are both airing on IFC. I haven't seen the show, but it looks interesting, and the dub is also pretty good.
Prince of Tennis and Trinity Blood are also on Adult Swim on Saturdays, which I didn't know. Figure I'll check them out. I'm back on an anime kick, in case you couldn't tell. I've started downloading Chrono Crusade and Ergo Proxy. Chrono Crusade is good so far and I can already vouch for Ergo Proxy. I also checked out the first episode of Air Gear, because that is one manga that I thought would be kickass as an anime, but the first episode pretty much encompassed the first two books. Everything happened so fast that it was probably the most "WTF?" pilot episode I've ever seen.
The anime is mostly because I haven't actually been watching that much since I got home, aside from Death Note and D. Gray-Man which have both been releasing slowly.
In other news, writing is going really well. I'm halfway through the mondo fight I mentioned before. All sorts of shit is going down and it's loads of fun. I might even be able to finish it today.
Oh, I saw Waiting for Guffman the other day. Good movie, though I don't have much to say about it. Score: 6.5 out of 10.
