Boxes. Boxes. Boxes. Boxes.
Dec. 24th, 2006 01:18 amSo.
Yesterday: Nine hours of standing. Making gift boxes. Packing boxes. Opening larger boxes containing the materials for gift boxes. Standing. Filling gift boxes with tissue paper. Learning to tie correct bows. Standing. Walking from large boxes with materials for gift boxes to table whereupon we make said gift boxes and pack said gift boxes. Standing. Siiittttinnngg doooowwwwn for a glooooorriooouuuuussss hour on my lunch break. Getting back up after lunch break. Standing. Making more gift boxes and packing more gift boxes. And then going home and being threatened with murder by my feet.
Today: The same. Only now I can't walk. No, really. Like. Kill me. Really. And I have a zillion paper cuts. I have six bandaids on my fingers right now.
So glad I'm not working tomorrow. I don't know when I'll be back there. Probably not till the 26th though it depends if they call me or not.
Looking forward to Xmas and all that, I suppose. After aching feet and staring at boxes boxes boxes silver boxes ribbons ribbons boxes bands tissue paper boxes silver silver tissue stickers paper boxes all day I feel kind of numb. You sort of zone out after doing the same thing over and over and over like that all the time.
Gehhhhh.
Um. I sort of broke the rules of Chrismahanukwanzaayule and bought something for myself, though really it was an accident. I got Firefly. See what happened was I was in FYE and went to get my mom's present and the guy was all, "Oh this is part of our buy one get one free deal, you can get something else on that table if it's under $40." There was a really long line so I couldn't take my time, and the first thing I saw was Firefly, so...Anyway, it was a great deal and all, but it's not really right to get yourself stuff around now...
Feet. Sore. Still can't walk. Yanno, working and making money is all good and fine but I gotta find me a job that involves sitting down every once in a while. And not every five hours.
I love Firefly. There were actually episodes I haven't seen.
Boxes. I dreamed about them last night.
