Falling and Missing The Ground

An asteroid passed by us tonight. A little asteroid. Like, half a mile across, I guess. 29,000 miles away--close enough to be called one of those "near-Earth flybys" or whatever. Anyway, my dad and I went out to Del Valle hoping to see it. We saw pretty stars and the Wild Duck Cluster (*squee!*) but no asteriods. Ah well.

Hit up Borders again today because I couldn't keep myself away from Flight volume 2, which is just as good as volume three. Also snagged Peacemaker 2 and Monster 3, which I didn't even know was out. Dammit, Monster never lists the next volume's release dates in the back, like most of them do. But it did have an ad for number 4 in the back, so 4 can't be far off.

Bleach is gonna be on Adult Swim this September. I'm curious. Haven't heard it in English. I hope they can pull it off. Hope it won't make my ears bleed.

They could just make the insomniacs work for their anime and run it in Japanese. But, no.

Also hit up Nordstrom, because if I'm gonna work there I need clothes from there. I looked at what all the other people there were wearing and decided there's technically no dress code so long as you look fashionable. So I brought home 2 pairs of pants and 2 tops. Cute tops. Cute pants. For $200. I hate department stores. Not gonna buy anything else until I'm positive I've got the job. I go in for training, yeah, but I haven't been given hours or wage info yet, so until that happens, I'm wary.

July 4th day after tomorrow. Today.

Went on a bikeride today. Haven't been on a bikeride in so long. I'm feeling like I'm getting on the heavy side, though, so exercise is a good thing. We introverts need to look out for that sorta thing. But yeah, rode around the business park twice and came home and collapsed in a chair and couldn't get up. 'Twas sad. I is out of shape.

Still working on the E and Kail scene. It's good, but something's missing. Fortunately I know exactly what it is--a better reason for Kail to do what he's doing. And I have the perfect plan for that. Bring in my newest villain, who's going to cause mayhem for my characters for the remainder of the trilogy. I can't even writer her name here since her name alone is a spoiler.

I'm forcing myself to go to bed at four.

Desk Woes

I really can't stand this desk anymore. It's too small, or something. I just can't sit at it properly. I end up leaning back in my chair or sitting cross-legged. I think I've outgrown it. I mean, I did get it when I was seven or so. I want a new desk, but it really is a nice desk as far as desks go. And my grandma gave it to me. My mom doesn't want to get rid of it. But seriously, just sitting here gives me a neck crick these days. Part of the reason I'm always sitting downstairs, which means I get about an hour of writing done each day. Probably part of the reason I don't get as much writing done, cause I just can't stand to sit up here for too long. *sigh*

Maybe I'll go to Office Max and look at desks...

I want to hit up Borders again before tomorrow to see if Flight volume one is there. I've also been looking for the second Yami no Matsuei for weeks now. They have five, six, seven, ten and eleven. Yeah. Teh fooks.
