Yay, I got a callback! I'm going in to interview for a position at the cafe in Borders on Monday. Woot! My first ever interview, how sweet is that? Considering my lack of experience there's a high chance I won't get the job, but oh well. It'll be good practice for other interviews in the future.
Ah, I love art. I love DeviantArt. I love Elfwood. I love your typical, classic art--Da Vinci, Picasso, Warhol, Wyeth to name a fraction of a fraction. I love art! I spent the better part of today cruising DA and Elfwood and checking out webcomics and discovering new artists and reading stories by people whose work I've been following for years. Sounds like a wasted day, but this is the stuff I love. It makes me want to write. Seeing other people's creativity always makes me want to write.
On that oh so lovely subject, Mot has slowed to a halt, and I'd really like to get it going again. The thing is, I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with the preceding scene, the scene I mentioned where we get a taste of Tae's backstory. I like the scene--just not how it ended, though I'm not sure what I could do to change it. Of course that's always my problem, if I'm not satisfied with the preceding scene/s I end up crashing to a halt and futzing away my time. I'm sick of doing nothing but waiting for nighttime to watch anime and write a little--I want to get back into spending hours and hours writing, like I did with Penta.
Penta, btw, hasn't been touched in a while. As for the E and Kail backstory, something in it seems...off. They're a bit out of character. E isn't as cool and collected as he is in Mot and Kail, at this point in his life, would never accept, let aone ask for, help of any kind, from anywhere, anytime. So, I dunno.
Writing, writing, writing, how I love thee, how you pain me...
The other ideas--Fox Adderwood and the other one, with Kaiyss the cat spirit thief, are both going nowhere, but I'm so keeping the characters around until the muse hits me over the head with something.
I should go for more walks. That's always helped in the past.
