Outside is TEH SPRING! It's so so so so sososososo lovely right now. My first class of the day we had outside, and then German was cancelled. I have my Soc TA class in an hour and a half, and that'll be inside, poo. But oh well, it's only an hour. I went out and sat on the balcony and ate peanut satay and read manga and oh man I love this weather. I feel bad for being inside right now.
Also my package finally came, which Julie will be pleased about. Outtakes tonight!
So in the anime arena--yes, of course, you know me--we're watching Wolf's Rain and Yu Yu Hakusho here and we have one last Kenshin to go, plus we finished up Samurai 7 in ASIC last night. Let me first say that Yu Yu Hakusho is pretty much the sweetest, campiest anime I've EVER seen, and I LOVE it, especially Kurama thus far because he says things like "It's only a minor hole in my stomach." That show is full of amazing one-liners like that. And in Sam 7 there was more DEATH and ANGST and a general lack of science, physics in particular, but it was still fun because it has Jesus samurai and Kyuzo and Heihachi, but oh MAN did I want to hurt something when the DEATH thing happened. Gah.
Happy happy on the writing front too. E and Kail, what would I do without the *squee* and angst that is E and Kail? I mentioned I'm writing their backstory, starting from when they meet, and it's turning out awesome so far. I'm back to working on the main story too, which I think is going to hit 500 pages before I'm done, but I've decided not to worry about page length. That's what a rewrite is for. Speaking of rewrites, I ground to a halt in the Penta rewrite and am still at chapter 4. Like I said, I want the beginning to pack more punch. There's just something off about "oh, we're going to a death island, let me tell you about it, float float think think angst angst look it's an island, the soldiers here are teh ebul, oh shit they just stuck a hot brand on my hand, fucking sucks."
It's Katey-poo's birthday today! I hope she likes what Julie and I got her. Oh man.
