Yay, I have drugs! I tried to pick them up yesterday, but apparently my prescrip wasn't with the shipment, so I had to bus down to town today and find my way to Kinney's, where I got my drugs no questions asked. Pretty sweet. Of course it's me, so as I'm reading the warning label thing I'm fretting over the fact that Lexapro is supposed to treat anxiety and can also cause anxiety. It sounds like such a contradiction, but if you know how the seratonin thingies in your head work, I guess it makes sense. In any case, doc says Lex is the one most unlikely to have side effects. So woot beans. If I start taking them today I'll have one left over when I go to get the prescrip refilled, assuming I do at all. This is all assuming the Lex will work.
I really should have asked the doc if I can take Tylenol Sleep with this stuff. It says not to mix drugs that affect the brain in any way (so in other words, no sedatives, other anti-depression/anxiety stuff, or migraine meds etc). He did tell me I can take the Clonapin (sp?) on top of the Lex, so...*shrug*. I'll have to see how Lex affects me before I decide whether it's safe to take Simply Sleep with it or not. That's assuming I ever need 'em.
Drugs, drugs, drugs. Anyway, Kinney's is a pretty sweet place, I figure I'll just go there from now on instead of Wegmans. It's closer and there's no extra bus to take. The plus to Wegmans is it has food, obviously, and it's nextdoor to B&N, Lowe's and that other place that I've forgotten.
New FMA and GITS tonight, woot beans.
The weather is the most schizophrenic I've ever seen it (at least in Ithaca. There was that time the day after election day back in Cali when it thundered and hailed RANDOMLY in the middle of the day. And this is in Cali, remember. Right after Kerry conceded defeat. The gods don't like Bush.). It's been crazy-windy all day and it was raining earlier, and a few minutes ago it was completely white out my window, snowing like a bitch. Now it's all moved on, even the wind, though the sky is pretty fracking bleak-looking. The reports said it's pretty much supposed to snow on and off for the next few days, but so far it's all been missing us. It looks like downtown is getting more than we are.
The red eyed beast is over, so it looks like my anxiety level is winding down. Of course it's the weekend, which so far has meant bad things. But now I've got my drugs (DRUGS!) so I'm not too worried.
I have an obscene amount of reading to do before my Soc midterm on Thursday.
