It started snowing again tonight. Last night I was walking through the worst of it to the art building so I could leave my project out in the open, but the doors were locked. Yeah, and four other people showed up who hadn't gotten the email--needless to say they were rather upset that it had been cancelled. It wouldn't be such a bitch if you didn't have to walk fifteen minutes just to get to the Ceracche center. Ah well. I shot my teacher an email to let her know where my project was, so it should all be good.

Anyway, there's lots of snow. And should be more tonight. It was all bright today and melty and stuff was falling off the roofs.

Julie's gone, so it's just me and Kate, but she's leaving early tomorrow so I probably won't see her. My flight's not till seven at night, but they kick us out at noon, so I'll have to sit around there for six hours. Roxors, doesn't it? Not like I have much choice.

Ipswich pretty much had a terrible time in Texas. She'd been planning this thing forever--she'd go down there with Cassidy and hook up with Bastian, who she hasn't seen in forever. She pretty much planned the fall semester around it--her classes were fast-tracked so she wouldn't have to take time off for it. And what happens? Cassidy goes AWOL, Bastian doesn't show up, and Liz has to drive the 25 hour drive home alone. All kinds of awesome beans. I feel bad for her. I'm bringing Milanos back for her cause chocolate cures everything except being dead. Y'know.

They're double-chocolate Milanos, too.

I'm mostly done with Chrismahannukwanzaaramayule shopping. Just need stuff for Liz and anyone else I might see. Varsha's going home, though I dunno if I'll see her.

Saw Ed Wood last night. Johnny Depp as a transvestite. He makes a good-looking woman. Sort of.

Johnny Depp is my hero.

I actually wrote something for Penta 2, if you can believe it. Kaz has met the Kitten of Doom who can light hereslf on fire. It suitably fixes the godawful Alcohol Scene which was OOC, even for drunk Kaz. There's a few other things I'm rethinking for it, and I plugged in another Kaz scene. I know--I should be cutting back on Kaz scenes, but then I realized--he's technically a main character. One of the big subplots of this sequel revolves around him, so he should have at least as much airtime as Scarrow. It's the others I need to include. I'm adding little things here and there about the other three (Rin and Scarrow are in it enough). Triss and Starsong in particular need more development in Penta 1, I'm thinking--you don't really learn anything about them until a scene toward the end, which sucks. It feels contrived and it's corny and rather out of nowhere. Lotta work before I ship this mother off to publishers (wow, can you believe I'm talking publishers again???).

Motley Crew certainly feels like it's ready to take off, but so far the muse is still stewing over it. Pretty much I'm keeping the first chapter (16 pages) and some of the Big Events after that, but other than that I'm not sure. There's a lot that needs to happen in a very, very limited amount of space, and the style I'm using just makes it more difficult. Now that I've cut out the eighth character, and decided that the seventh will be getting as little air time as possible (to conserve mystery), it should lighten the load a little. But I dunno. There's so much basic character backstory that can only take place here, while they're still at home. A lot more comes out later, obviously, but there are key elements that won't work once they've "started the quest" so to speak.

Life. At least the semester's over. A month off. How woot is that??
