So, It's, Like...
Dec. 2nd, 2005 12:32 pmThe snow has put me in a good mood. Yes. Snow. It's snowing. Yes. Wow. Not sticking, though, and most of what was on the ground has melted. But. Snow. You know? It's snow.
Had no time for anything yesterday, really, because I was too busy staring at my screen willing my research rough draft to be written. I got three pages in about an hour, because that's how it usually happens. Stare-stare-stare-stare-stare *muse twitches* and then BANG, last minute writing. I really should have done more, but oh well, rough draft and all, plus the real thing isn't due till finals week. 'Course part of the problem was that I didn't know my main focus, and I still am sorta shaky in that area, but oh well. What I have works for now.
ASIC was awesome beans last night. There weren't many people there, Julie included--all doing homework I guess. Finals and all that. Anyway, we finished off Beck, and it's the first freaking anime I've ever seen that has a freaking happy ending. In other words, no one dies and the good guys actually, you know, accomplish things and whatnot. All kinds of woot and *squee!* But we're all of the opinion that the only way to watch Beck is in Japanese with English subtitles, simply for the amazing awesomeness that is Engrish. "Fuuuulll mooon schhwaaaayy...gentle in da nite o' one faan daaaayyy..."
Bahahaha.
It's like snowing, wow.
I had a breakthrough on Penta 2. Now I know what's going to happen with the love triangle. I figured out how to make it work. And it even makes sense, unlike all my previous ideas. 'Course, doesn't change the fact that I don't know how to lead into the whole thing. Penta 2 pretty much needs to be scrapped and rewritten, but with my current focus on reshaping Mot, that'll be awhile. I'm glad the muse is still thinking about Penta, though. I don't want to lose it like I did Alch--granted Alch wasn't very strong as a story, and Penta's a lot more original (better writing, too), but there's always the risk. For now reminding myself of how awesome the characters and the setting and the conflict and ANGST are is enough. The writing does need to change a little, since I've gotten better over the past year (and I'm thinking of incorporating the Mot style into Penta, maybe).
Ah. Snow.
