It's my Mutti's b-day today! I got her a mug and a bumper sticker...yeah, I know, but I have sort of limited resources here. I won't be able to send them for a while until I get a box and figure out postage and whatnot.
Took my German test today. It was alright...not as hard as I thought it would be, but still hard. I'm so damn lucky I studied. In Intro we had to describe our "artifact" that we were instructed to bring in--I brought in Balto (stuffed wolf, whee!). We have to write a paper that somehow ties an object to a societal issue or whatever. I like that class a lot--the people in it are cool and smart and all. Maybe they'll rub off on me, heh.
Spent most of the day finishing up my Tarot deck. I know, I'm weird--I went and created a completely new Tarot deck for my character that uses it. There's a whole story behind it blah blah blah. It's all on powerpoint...44 cards. Do you have any, any comprehension of how hard it is to find appropriate clip art for Tarot cards? I had to pretty much disect powerpoint to figure out how to accomplish an "Oroborus" card. It's a worldwide symbol, dammit, you'd think it would be somewhere in the realm of clipart, but noooooo.
I'm lame, I know.
I'm on something like page 17 of Mot(ley Crew). Wootness. And I finally started Eldest the second instalment of teen writer Chris Paolini. Pretty good so far, but--I have to admit it--rather cliched and predictable. Oh well. I understand how hard it is to be a teenager and create an original book. I've been fighting cliches in my own work for over a year now. Nyargh.
Anyway. Got some homework to do and now that Tarot's done I should get back to work on the actual damn book. Yes.
