It's Raining? In July?
Jul. 21st, 2005 05:51 pmMust be El Nino or something.
We went to Great America today for a relatively short while (all things considered) and got mostly soaked. There was no one there and the lines were pretty short. It's pretty easy to get through just about everything worth going through there in only a few hours, so it wasn't long before we were bored. Particularly since there were rides that me, Liz and Hector (friend of hers) said absolutely no to. We got pretty soaked, though--we mostly went on water rides.
Top Gun is still pretty fun though.
Haven't been doing much else lately. Have been watching Fullmetal Alchemist. I like it. Better than Inuyasha at any rate.
Oh, and I finished Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It's about Armageddon. It's utterly hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard since David Sedaris's Me Talk Pretty One Day and that's just a memoir. I liked Crowley--I have a thing for demons. Heh. There's a lot of obscure England references, but I've read a lot of Brit Lit. Frankly, the best way to describe it is imagine Monty Python and the Holy Grail except it's Monty Python and the End of the World. Got a great message to it too.
Read it.
