The End

At eight o'clock AM today, Wednesday, November Third of Two-Thousand and Four, John Kerry conceded defeat and congratulated Bush on winning the re-election.

Here lies the body of the United States of America, also known as Liberty and Democracy. She was killed, carelessly, wantonly and stupidly, long before her time. She is survived by billions of people across the planet who hung their heads in despair at hearing news of her death.

A toast: here's to another four years of war, social and cultural stagnation, facism, totalitarian control, attacks on civil liberties, and general backward thinking. Here's to the end of Roe v. Wade. Here's to diminished gay rights and potentially a regression to the age when blacks had separate drinking fountains, except this time the sign's'll read, "Gays Only." Here's to continued "pursuit of terrorists," war, famine, and other signs of the apocalypse.

I feel, literally, as if I've lost all faith in humanity. I feel like my soul is being weighed down by a lead weight. That may sound corny, and honestly, I thought it was just a figure of speech, but that's honestly how I feel. It's not just depression I feel, it's despair, total resignation, like I've lost God or something (which happened some time ago anyway). Kerry was a good sport for conceding when he knew he'd lose and not dragging us into another painful re-count and other such BS. I'm glad it won't be prolonged--it's better to get the kick in the face sooner, rather than anticipating it.

Roe v. Wade WILL be thrown out. The draft WILL be re-instated, but probably only if things haven't cleared up by the January elections as I said. The Patriot Act WILL be built upon. Gays will NEVER have the right to marry or bury their loved ones or visit each other in the hospital. The right now has total, uncompromised, unchecked control of this country. This is not democracy. This is theocracy and totalitarianism.

We have been betrayed by our own people, and that's what feels the worst. The popular vote elected Bush this time. There isn't any question as to who won. We have been betrayed. The next four years are going to be a living hell. The world might very well be coming to an end.

Gaia is voicing Her opinion today too. We're having wicked crazy-ass-shit weather right now--it was sunny/cloudy off and on, but then suddenly as school ended the thunder started. Then there was a lightning strike nearby and the lights went out in the school's office. It started raining buckets--and THEN it started hailing like a motherfucker. You try driving in this shit, it's NOT fun, the roads outside are quite literally white and slick with ice. It's like being in Utah, snow everywhere. INsane. I think Gaia is pretty pissed that an Earth-killing-let's-drill-for-oil-in-an-Alaskan-preserve Shrub has been elected the most powerful man in the world--by his own fucking people. Ohhh, no, Gaia is not happy. See? The gods DON'T want Bush to be president!

Ooh, another crash of thunder--I think Gaia's agreeing with me.

Well, that's it for my rant. I won't be a complainer. The fact of the matter is that Bush was elected by the people, stupid and frightened little rabbits that they are, and there's no changing it and there's nothing we can do for another four years, so we're just going to have to suck it up and tough it out and pray that people won't be forced to go to Mexico to get an abortion with dirty instruments or flee to Canada because they're calling up 18-year-olds again.

YOU'RE ALL SHEEP!! SHEEP!!! SHEEP!!! BAAA-BAAA-BAAA-BAAA!!!!!!
