VOTE, DAMMIT!!
Nothing much happened today. Story of my life. I talked to my creative writing teacher and figured out (basically) what to do with this 2-pager I have to write. It's not the assignment--I know what I'm gonna write--it's just that I can't go over 2 pages. Curses. So I have to take my conflict and pick a scene from it, one I think will be good and vivid.
First taste of German club today. We watched a movie called the Little Vampire--in German. Which I don't understand, except for danke, eischokolade and schnell, and a few others. Ah, well. Nothing wrong with getting back to your roots, no?
I think I'll wait till Samhain to do something for Uncle James--I'm glad Christina suggested it, I never would have thought of it. Although, in Elementalism Samhain doesn't have the same importance as in Wicca etc. Frankly, I don't understand how people can say that the god--hello, the sun--is supposed to die then. Which is why my new year falls on Yule, not on Samhain. Anyway, it's still the best time of the year to honor the dead. I'll think of something nice for him.
I ended up playing chauffeur to Ben and his friends today. So I drove all over creation, fetching their airsoft guns and then dropped them all at Jareds. Gods, I hate freshmen boys. Bleargh. They're all the same, so stupid.
I've got Elizabethen English running through my head. It must be Shakespeare day or something. Romeo and Juliet, and now Much Ado About Nothing.
Bullet With Butterfly Wings by Smashing Pumpkins has been stuck in my head all day. Yeah, you want angst, look up the Pumpkins. And I discovered Phish last night, who--get this--did a remake of Gin and Juice. How funny is that?
Hoomba. Nothing much else that I can think of, except we got this huge motherfucking assignment in Civics--we have to create an entire country, complete with currency and government and trade and import/export and all that fun jazz.
Editing of Alch. has slowed to a crawl because I kind of fell out of the whole thing. I've been thinking ahead too much, to the second and third books. I really, really need to finish those character charts.
