talkingsoupSo I've started packing, and things are generally looking good so far. I'll have three boxes to ship--one the TV, the other two...books...then I've got two suitcases and another box that me and my dad can check. The box will have a few more books in it (yeah...yeah, I know) and some other essentials. Most of the rest is already in Ithaca. I should at least ship my shizz tomorrow, though.
Man. I even told myself I'd cut back on books, but really. I mean, I'm gonna be there for the better part of a year. I need me my books. It doesn't exactly help that a lot of them are manga, but it's not my fault they take up so much room. I'm not even taking most of my manga, since most of the series I have are into the tens and beyond. Though I am taking all of Descendants, cause I want Jules to read it. Black Cat and Immortal Rain too.
Let's see, then I've got my backpack and laptop case...I need to figure out what I'm gonna do with the new iPod player, too. It's bigger than my old one.
Mostly I'm worried about my fishtank. I have no idea where it's gonna go. The best place of course would be the dresser, but the cord definitely won't reach from there to the nearest outlet. Ah man. I might end up just having to give up half my desk.
Well. Deal with that when it comes, I suppose.
In the meantime, I'm working on chapter 2 of the fic, and I'm about halfway. Hopefully I'll have it posted either tonight or tomorrow. Also...
I've gotten to Scryes in Mot.
But it's not going at all how I planned. I wanted it to have the same effect on me that the J scene did. But I suppose it's mostly because J was also insane and said all these things to E that just cut at you (or I should say at E). Scryes--I mean, he's the main bad guy, but he's no crazy, and he's not sadistic or cruel or anything.
In this case I think it needs some touching up, which I'll do today.
YnM is completely downloaded! Curse it for only having 13 eps. I have a feeling it's going to end in a stupid place, before the manga does. Although, if it's the place I'm thinking--they could end it there by changing one...um...minor detail, and then leaving all the questions that arise up in the air. In true anime style.
Oh, oh, dude, I looked up the voice cast for the Bleach dub, and Johnny Yong Bosch is the voice of Ichigo. Which...doesn't make much sense unless he goes the way he went with Kiba's voice in Wolf's Rain. And Wendee Lee (Faye Valentine, Bebop) is Tatsuki, which...is perfect. They don't have much else listed, and I can't remember Ishida's voice, though I remember thinking the voice actor suited him.
We'll have to see. There's every chance they could kill it, though I tend to put my faith in something if Johnny Yong Bosch lends his voice to it. The Trigun dub wasn't bad, and the Fullmetal Alchemist dub is the stuff of dreams, second only to Bebop.
Now if only they could get Stephen Blum. Hm...he'd do pretty well as Urahara...
