Off-campus? Cool. Transportation would probably be tricksy, but it is indeed cheaper (usually) and there aren't as many annoying-as-fuck rules and regulations. Where you thinking of working?
You can have animals in the Circles/Gardens. I know a bunch of people who do. You just have to keep them out of trouble and hidden (i.e. Cat-Carrier) during inspections is all. That and hope you don't have a power-hungry jackass for an RD. If you could talk the others into it, you could probably get a kitty now...
