Yeah, I've heard other people say that one Jak game is more than enough. I never picked up any of the others because I couldn't beat the second one -- irritating in and of itself. I played Secret of Mana a few years back, but I don't remember it too well. I know it's made by the same company that did the FF games, and I'm sure its succcess contributed to the making of the FFs, but I don't know about any other direct links. But yeah, pick up an FF game. Do it now. Don't waste any more time. Seriously. I have an extra FFVIII set I'd offer to send you, but some of the discs don't work so you wouldn't be able to finish the game anyway. I'd recommend that one to start out with, though -- it's got the most badass opening sequence in the history of gaming.
